Shame on you MSI for such a horrible product and support. If I knew that, I would go for business monitors which are not gaming, but with a working "docking station". So MSI have decided to raise the sales with business features (KVM and USB DP alt mode) which are completely broken. It is very cheap tactics to promote sales, MPG321QRF-QD is a decent but expensive gaming monitor, like many other brands and models. It will be rolled out slowly like the Anniversary Update, so it will be a few months before Microsoft offers it to everyone.
Like other updates to Windows 10, it’s free, and includes a host of new features.

I've registered the monitor (product) and opened the ticket on the same day of receiving it. The Windows 10 Creators Updatecodenamed Redstone 2will begin rolling out on April 11, 2017. Since I have to make such change, now I can only power-cycle the monitor with unplugging-plugging the electrical cord. KVM must not be turned off by a video input status. To overcome that problem, I have to switch monitor's power-LED button to "Standby". Third problem: if monitor's power-LED button is set to "On/Off" and the video signal is on a standby (screensaver), the USB KVM switches off, and I can't turn on the video signal by using a mouse or keyboard. Only then I can use a keyboard and a mouse on the laptop. To make the KVM work, I must turn on the PC, which is connected with USB type-A-B, which triggers the KVM to turn on, and then I can switch the PC off. Second problem: USB KVM is not turning on if USB type C cable is connected, even after the monitor's power cycle. Tried to turn on/off source scan, no results. To make the monitor displaying the picture over USB type-C, I have to power cycle the monitor while the laptop is connected and turned on. But the monitor displays the message "Type C no signal". The laptop immediately recognizes the monitor with exact capabilities (resolution, supported refresh rates and HDR support). From PC perspective everything works perfectly.įirst problem: The laptop is connected with only USB type-C cable. The PC is connected with DP cable and USB 3.2 type-A - type-B cable. There are keyboard, mouse, webcam and speakers which are connected to the monitor. The laptop officially support USB type-C DP alt mode.

I have a stationary PC and laptop from my work: Hp Elitebook G8 850, Windows 10 onboard and the latest drivers and BIOS. I've chosen the monitor for its gaming and productivity features (most docking station features).
I've purchased Optix MPG321QRF-QD monitor a few days ago.
